Happy the Clown
I, Rob Wheeler (aka Ali McGooGoo and Happy the Clown), have been a clown for 35 years. For a number of years I performed with my son Devin (aka Fall the Clown) as he was growing up. I have represented a number of organizations at the UN for the past ten years including the Millennium Peoples Assembly Network, Association of World Citizens, International Institute for Sustainable Future, and the Global Ecovillage Network. I served on the Executive Committee for the UN Millennium NGO Forum and on the International Steering Committee for the World Civil Society Forum. At the same time I have advocated and worked for the establishment of a World Parliament and a more effective and democratic International Rule of Law.
For two years I worked in New York City with Silly Billy’s Funniest Clowns in the Whole Wide World, attending UN meetings during the weekdays and street fairs and birthday parties in the Boroughs on the weekends. I also perform as RobinEagle - Folk Musician and Storyteller Extraordinaire.
I am currently the Chair of the International Steering Committee for the World Movement for Global Democracy www.wmgd.org and I am a Candidate for the Peoples Congress www.recim.org. Thus I am pleased and honored to bring two separate aspects of my life’s work together - of working with kids and of creating world peace, sustainability, and prosperity for all - as I join the World Parliament of Clowns.
